Shelly The Pill WiFi/Bluetooth Universal Sensor
Shelly The Pill is a compact module designed to work with sensors and automation systems. The device allows you to monitor temperature, humidity, voltage, and digital states, and thanks to its peripheral modes, it works with analog and digital sensors. Powered by USB-C, it can operate continuously in technical and home installations. Its small size and dual 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth BLE 4.2 connectivity allow for easy integration even in spaces with limited room.
Temperature and humidity monitoring
The device works in plug-and-play mode with popular DS18B20 temperature sensors and DHT22 temperature and humidity sensors. It supports up to five DS18B20 probes simultaneously, allowing you to monitor several measurement points at the same time. It is suitable for temperature control in swimming pools, aquariums, water tanks, and technical systems.
Extensive configuration options
The model is based on the ESP32-C3 microcontroller (8 MB Flash) and offers features characteristic of the Shelly Gen3 platform. It allows you to create schedules, use webhooks, support MQTT, encrypt communication, and create your own scripts. Integration with external systems is possible via MQTT, WebSocket, or HTTP, allowing for easy integration of the device into complex automation systems.
Various operating modes
Shelly The Pill offers configurable operating modes for digital inputs and outputs as well as analog measurement. The inputs and outputs operate at 3.3 V, and the digital mode can be set independently as an input or output. The analog voltmeter built into the device measures voltages in the range of 0-2.5 V, while an external expansion module allows measurements up to 30 V DC. This allows the device to work with door sensors, motion sensors, flood sensors, and other simple digital sensors.
Extensions and DC load control
The functionality can be expanded with the available add-ons. The external SSR module enables two-channel control of low DC load devices up to 30 V / 300 mA, such as LED indicators, small fans, or solenoid valves. The 0–30 V analog module allows you to monitor voltages in 3.7 V, 12 V, or 24 V battery systems.
Compact design and USB-C power supply
The 26 × 19.95 × 8.5 mm housing and a weight of only 3 g allow the device to be mounted virtually anywhere. Power is supplied via a USB-C port with 5 V voltage, and power consumption does not exceed 1 W. This allows The Pill to work in low-voltage installations and systems based on USB power supplies.
